A flying-dress photograph with two people in it is a different picture from one with one. Five styles of traditional gawn, in the Saeedy and Bahary traditions of Upper Egypt and the Delta, plus a classic plain cut, worn in a shoot, or rented on their own the same way a dress is.

The process

How it works

  1. Choose a style

    Five are listed. We have not photographed them for this site yet, so if the look matters more than the name, say so and we will send you pictures of the actual garments.

  2. We reply with the price and the fit

    Including sizes, in writing, before anything is agreed.

  3. Wear it in your shoot, or rent it on its own

    Either works. Rented alone it follows the same delivery and return as a dress.

No payment is taken on this website. Nothing on these pages charges a card, and we will never ask you to type card details into a form here.

About men's wear

What is the difference between Saeedy and Bahary?

They are the two regional dress traditions the names come from: Saeedy from Upper Egypt, Bahary from the north and the Delta. What distinguishes our particular garments within each pair is something we would rather show you than describe: ask and we will send photographs.

Can my partner wear one during my flying-dress shoot?

Yes, and it is one of the more common requests. Tell us when you enquire so the garment is there on the day.

What does it cost?

Price on request. Nothing about men's attire pricing is published and we are not going to invent a figure here.

Are there photographs of the five styles?

Not on this page yet, which is why it names them rather than showing them. Ask and we will send you pictures of the actual garments.
